1. Who we are

Ninety XI ("Ninety XI", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website at www.ninetyxi.com and the related Ninety XI football platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

This policy applies to everyone who visits or uses the Service. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information you give us when you sign up and use the Service:

• Your email address and a password (passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider — we never see or store your plain-text password).
• Your username (handle), and any optional display name and avatar image you add.
• The date your account was created.

Activity information generated as you use the Service:

• The teams and competitions you follow, used to build your personalized feed.
• Your predictions and your virtual-points history, used to run the prediction game and leaderboards.
• Comments, reactions, and Man of the Match votes you submit.
• Notifications we generate for you and your notification preferences.

Advertising and measurement information. When you view or click a sponsored placement on the Service, we record the placement and ad format, the page it appeared on, your device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop, inferred from your browser's user-agent string), and a coarse location (city, region, and country) derived at our hosting network's edge from your IP address. We do not store your IP address or any precise location. This information is aggregated to measure reach and click-through performance.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting providers automatically process standard server and security logs (such as request metadata) to operate and protect the Service.

3. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account and provide the Service.
• To authenticate you and keep you signed in securely.
• To personalize your feed based on the teams and competitions you follow.
• To run predictions, award and track virtual points, and produce leaderboards.
• To send you account (transactional) emails such as email verification, and — only if you have it enabled — a weekly digest email.
• To deliver and measure sponsored placements, and to report aggregate, non-identifying performance statistics to advertisers.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service and to comply with our legal obligations.

4. Sponsors and advertisers

We sell sponsorships and ad placements on the Service. Advertisers and sponsors receive only aggregate statistics (for example, total impressions, clicks, click-through rate, and broad device or country breakdowns). We do not sell or share your name, email, or other information that identifies you personally with advertisers.

Sponsored content is visibly labeled. Clicking a sponsored link may take you to a third party whose own privacy practices apply.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that process data on our behalf, and only as needed to run the Service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting and the edge network that serves the site.
• Resend — delivery of transactional and digest emails.
• SportMonks — our football data provider, which supplies match data to us. It does not receive your personal information.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Ninety XI, our users, or the public.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate core features (set by our authentication provider). These cannot be turned off without breaking sign-in.

We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

You can update much of your information directly in your account settings, and you can unsubscribe from digest emails at any time using the link in those emails. To make any other request, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations or for security. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be kept indefinitely.

9. Virtual points

Ninety XI predictions use virtual points only. Virtual points have no monetary value, cannot be purchased for cash value, and cannot be exchanged or cashed out. The Service does not involve real-money wagering.

10. Security

We protect your information with measures including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and database row-level security that restricts access to your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

11. International transfers

We and our service providers may process your information in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Children

The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EU) to use Ninety XI. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age; if you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be communicated through the Service.
