After earning a point in the London derby against West Ham, the Bees are back against Wolves, hoping to put an end to a three-game winless run. Brentford vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers kicks off at 15:00 [GMT+1] on October 5 at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Brentford put an end to a two-game losing run after earning a point in the London derby against West Ham. A goal from Bryan Mbeumo [1’] well before West Ham struck in the 54th minute saw the Bees become the first Premier League side to score inside the first minute in three successive games. Despite doing so, Thomas Frank’s side remained winless in all three games [LWLLD]. Nevertheless, they held on to 12th place with 7 points [2W, 1D, 3L] after the derby draw. A weekend fixture with Wolves could see Brentford win successive matches against the visitors for the first time since the 2015-16 Championship campaign following a 2-0 win at Wolves in February. While climbing into the upper half of the table remains the objective for Brentford, should defeat appear imminent, the Bees will be more than happy to share a point, especially having won only once in five games against Wolves [1W, 1D, 3L]. A 4—4—2 with Bryan Mbeumo, who had his volley against Tottenham nominated for 'Goal of the Month' [September], and Fábio Carvalho in attack is anticipated.

The Wanderers remained at the bottom of the table after a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool last weekend. Wolves were on course to earn a point, but a Mohamed Salah penalty one minute after the hour mark left them with nothing. While sitting at the bottom of the table, with three losses in a row [LDLLL], Wolves are only one of the two sides to have only a point [0W, 1D, 5L]. They are also winless in six opening PL games and could go winless in seven opening games in a single top-flight campaign for the first time since last doing so in 2003-04. However, a fine record on the road against the Bees could serve as a source of inspiration for Wolves, who continue in search of a maiden victory. Gary O’Neil’s side are unbeaten in their last five away league games against Brentford. Gary O’Neil could deploy a 4—3—3 formation with Matheus Cunha, Jørgen Stran, and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde in attack. Yerson Mosquera is ruled out for a lengthy spell on the sidelines following a knee injury. In addition, Wolves will be without as many as five players, including Boubacar Traore, Bastien Meupiyou, and Toti Gomes.
