On Saturday, Villarreal outlasted Mallorca in a close encounter, winning 2-1 away the La Liga.
Villarreal broke the deadlock in the 27th minute with a goal from Logan Costa, with an assist by Álex Baena.
1-1 came through an own-goal in the 57th minute.
Mallorca's Toni Lato was sent off in the 69th minute.
The deciding goal came in extra time, when Ayoze Pérez netted for Villarreal, with an assist by Yeremy Pino.
It leaves Mallorca in 12th place and that Villarreal are in fourth place.
The next La Liga games for Mallorca are Real Sociedad (home) on 17 September, Real Betis (away) on 23 September and Real Valladolid (away) on 27 September. Villarreal play FC Barcelona (home) on 22 September, Espanyol (away) on 26 September and Las Palmas (home) on 30 September.
