Sunday's Bundesliga fixture at home saw Heidenheim claim a vital win over FC Augsburg. Initially leading 2-0, Heidenheim showcased their resilience and determination, to clinch a memorable 4-0 victory.

Heidenheim started the match well and took the lead when Paul Wanner made his mark with a penalty after 9 minutes, making it 1-0.

In the 30th minute Leo Scienza increased the lead for Heidenheim with an assist by Marvin Pieringer.

Adrian Beck also increased the lead for Heidenheim in the 69th minute, with an assist by Paul Wanner.

Heidenheim further increased the lead as Maximilian Breunig netted, with an assist by Sirlord Conteh, in the 73rd minute.
