Saturday's Eredivisie showdown at Koning Willem II Stadion saw Willem II and Sparta Rotterdam locked in a goalless first half. However, Sparta Rotterdam's second-half surge saw them seize control, ultimately securing a resounding 2-1 victory.
The first half was goalless, but straight after half-time, Pelle Clement made his mark as he netted, with an assist by Mohamed Nassoh, to give Sparta Rotterdam the lead.
Six minutes left to play, Willem II's Cisse Sandra equalised.
The deciding goal came, when Camiel Neghli found the net for Sparta Rotterdam, with an assist by Julian Baas.
Willem II are now in ninth place in the table, while Sparta Rotterdam are seventh in the league.
Willem II play RKC Waalwijk on 15 September, FC Utrecht on 21 September and PSV (home) on 28 September. Sparta Rotterdam's next opponents are Go Ahead Eagles on 15 September, RKC Waalwijk on 21 September and Fortuna Sittard (home) on 28 September.
