This means the team has extended their lead in the Premier League and the gap to second placed Brighton & Hove Albion is now two points. West Ham United are in 14th place in the league.
Manchester City started the match best and took the lead early when Erling Haaland netted in the 10th minute, with an assist by Bernardo Silva, making it 1-0.
1-1 came through an own-goal in the 19th minute.
Manchester City took the lead after half an hour's play as Erling Haaland scored one more time. This occasion he found the net, with an assist by Rico Lewis.
With seven minutes left to play, Manchester City's Erling Haaland increased the lead and with this completed his hattrick.
