Brentford clinched a resounding 3-1 victory over Southampton at Brentford Community Stadium in Saturday's Premier League showdown.
Brentford took the lead just before half time when Bryan Mbeumo netted.
In the 65th minute, Bryan Mbeumo increased the lead for Brentford, with an assist by Mathias Jensen.
Yoane Wissa also increased the lead for Brentford in the 69th minute.
The goal that reduced the score to 3-1 came in extra time, when Yukinari Sugawara found the net for Southampton, with an assist by Adam Lallana.
"I train a lot during the week to score goals,' Mbeumo said after the brace, having seen Ivan Toney in the stands at the Gtech Community Stadium ahead of his departure for Al Ahli following a deadline-day move.
'Ivan [Toney] did a lot for the promotion and to stay in the league. He scored a lot of goals. We can only wish him the best,' he added.
Looking at the table, we find Brentford in fifth place, while Southampton are in 19th place.
Brentford's next Premier League games are against Manchester City (away) on 14 September, Tottenham Hotspur (away) on 21 September and West Ham United (home) on 28 September. Southampton play Manchester United (home) on 14 September, Ipswich Town (home) on 21 September and AFC Bournemouth (away) on 30 September.
