Inter triumphed with a 4-0 win over Atalanta in Friday's Serie A clash on home turf at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
In the fourth minute, Inter made it 1-0 through an own-goal.
In the 10th minute Nicolò Barella increased the lead for Inter with an assist by Benjamin Pavard.
Straight after the break, Marcus Thuram found the net and increased the team's lead.
Inter netted once more, this time through Marcus Thuram, with an assist by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, in the 56th minute.
For Inter, this means first place in the table, while Atalanta are 10th in the league.
Inter play Monza on 15 September, Milan on 22 September and Udinese (away) on 29 September. Atalanta's next opponents are Fiorentina on 15 September, Como on 22 September and Bologna (away) on 29 September.
