An even game saw FC Bayern München just edge out VfL Wolfsburg away in the Bundesliga on Sunday. The game finished 3-2 to FC Bayern München.
FC Bayern München started the match well and took the lead early when Jamal Musiala netted after 20 minutes, with an assist by Sacha Boey, making it 1-0.
Straight after the break, Lovro Majer scored and equalised for VfL Wolfsburg.
VfL Wolfsburg also made it 2-1 in the 55th minute, when Lovro Majer found the net, with an assist by Patrick Wimmer.
2-2 came through an own-goal in the 65th minute.
With eight minutes left to play, FC Bayern München's Serge Gnabry scored the decider, with an assist by Harry Kane.
'The second half wasn't as good as it needed to be, ultimately, there are things that we can take from the second half, the mentality that we showed as we did in the pre-season,' Vincent Kompany said after his debut Bundesliga win.
In another subplot, Thomas Müller equalled a club record with his 709th competitive appearance for Bayern after coming on as a substitute in the 65th minute.
The next Bundesliga games for VfL Wolfsburg are Holstein Kiel (away) on 31 August, VfL Wolfsburg (home) on 14 September and Bayer 04 Leverkusen (away) on 22 September.
