Saudi Arabia and Uruguay Finish Level in 1-1 Draw After Intense Opener

Following a first half that ended 1-0 to Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay settled for a 1-1 draw in the World Cup opener at Miami Stadium.

Saudi Arabia took the lead just before half time as Abdulelah Al-Amri netted.

Maxi Araújo equalised for Uruguay in the 80th minute.

Saudi Arabia play Spain on 21 June and Cape Verde Islands on 27 June. Uruguay's next opponents are Cape Verde Islands on 22 June and Spain on 27 June.
